American Legion Jersey Boys State

American Legion Jersey Boys State educates our youth in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship. Boys State endeavors to provide a foundation for understanding self-government, a rational approach toward the solution of public questions, and a live faith in the ideals and processes of democracy.

American Legion Post 39 is a sponsor for Boys State. High School seniors interested in attending Boys State should contact their school guidance counselor first when applying to set up interview.

Patriotic Award

The Patriotic Award will be one or more awards of $500 or more given upon graduation to selected applicants by American Legion, Post 39. Active members of Post 39 Roebling and its auxiliary’s high school children and grandchildren in their senior year regardless of geographic location are eligible for all Patriotic Awards.
